Co-Hosting Yoshino’s Artist Decoded Podcast: Episode 263 with Erik Davis
Today, I am thrilled to share the first in a new series of interviews for my dear friend and collaborator Yoshino’s podcast, Artist Decoded.
When we began planning the inception of our deck, The Artist Decoded Tarot, we set an intention to release a series of episodes like this, co-hosting interviews with authors, creators, artists, and minds exploring a similar thread of consciousness.
Erik Davis’ work was a significant source of inspiration for molding our deck’s thesis, particularly his books, TechGnosis: Myth, Magic, and Mysticism in the Age of Information (2015) and High Weirdness: Drugs, Esoterica, and Visionary Experience in the Seventies (2019).
So, it feels fitting that this interview is the first in our foray into co-hosting.
I plan to relaunch and overhaul Radio Amenti in the coming months, which I’ve meant to do for ages. Still, time is limited as a mother to a very curious and magical two-year-old daughter who demands a lot of my attention.
Meanwhile, this side project is bringing a lot of joy and will hopefully provide even more context to the heart of why Yoshino and I wanted to create the deck and what conversations we want to continue to ripple into our ever-evolving, rapidly changing, technologically driven world.
ABOUT ERIK DAVIS
Erik Davis, PhD, is an author, award-winning journalist, sometimes podcaster, and popular speaker based in San Francisco. He is an incredible mind that I have been enchanted by over the last few years. His latest work, Blotter: The Untold Story of an Acid Medium, was released on April 30, 2024.
