Tarot Card Reading for the Week (2/25 - 3/4)

This week’s Amenti Oracle Spread of the Week is inspired by Khemitology.

Founded by the late "Keeper of the Keys", Abd'el Hakim Awyan, is a school of ancient esoteric Egyptian teachings, which offers a higher dimensional perspective of the great mysteries hidden within Egypt's sacred sites, and philosophies.

This spread takes a look at one of the lessons within this sacred mystery school's teachings, which looks to the energies of the masculine and feminine as realms of consciousness beyond gender. An idea hidden in symbols, and actualized through becoming a fully awakened being.

Feminine consciousness is believed to be connected to the right side of the brain, and the left side of the body. The energies relating to this realm connect to the faculties of intuition, creativity, art, magic, non-linear time, and dreamwork.

Masculine consciousness is believed to connect to the left side of the brain, and the right side of the body. Energies relating to this realm connect to logic, linear time, history, science, mathematics, and waking reality.

In merging, and balancing both hemispheres of the brain, higher consciousness emerges. The two become one, and from the space of one, we are able to connect to the wisdom within the one mind or unity/cosmic consciousness.

The Instagram poll results this week on which deck to use were almost 50/50, but the majority of you wound up voting for the Aleister Crowley Thoth Deck.

The intention for this reading was for the collective consciousness - hopefully the words resonate, and wishing you all a beautiful week ahead!

1. Two of Swords: Two crossed swords are united by a five-petaled, blue flower in the center. This calls to remind us of the idea to use "radical softness as a weapon", for when we cultivate our emotional intelligence, we are able to enhance our intuitive IQ. Acknowledging mind, while also being able to identify the difference between reality, opinion, preference, and ego. When we merge our heart, with our intuition, we can cut away egotistical obscurations, and better utilize our emotions as a barometer for how a situation, experience, interaction, or decision can be best navigated. As an answer to the query of how to connect/merge with feminine consciousness in a greater way, this card's overarching lesson is to find strength in softness, while also remaining strong in your unobscured emotional convictions.

2. Prince of Cups (reversed): "Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless — like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup; You put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle; You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee's beautiful words serve as a great reminder to connect to the lesson within the Prince of Cups. As the card is reversed in this reading, in relationship to the question at hand, we may be off-balance at the moment, so one is called to remember to be malleable in thoughts, actions, and emotions. Connecting to water, as a metaphor relating to masculine consciousness, we can see this as a call to remain in flow, yet stay adaptable, and grounded in logic when we are met with challenges, obstacles, or adversity.

3. Knight of Wands (reversed): In seeking the union of masculine and feminine consciousness, in order to evolve into a new awareness, the card at hand reminds us of the transformational power of fire.
Fire can cleanse, fire can purify, fire can transform, but in order to stoke the fires of an evolved existence, we must burn away all that does not serve, and destroy the combustible thinking patterns that don't sustainably fuel our highest dreams. In alchemy, nature's truth is extracted through fire - extract *your* truth by igniting the essence of what makes you strong, adaptable, intuitive, and grounded in your emotional intelligence - and kindle the world with your warmth. 🔥
